CuInSe2-based solar cells have realized a conversion efficiency above 22%. In addition to the reduction of bulk defects, control of electronic activities of grain boundaries (GBs) in the absorber get crucial subjects for further improvement of it. In the present study, we have attempted the characterization of electronic structure of the GBs in the high performance cells by means of UHV-KPFM.
