△ [6a-A405-7] Fabrication and characterization of transfer printed photonic nanostructures
Keywords:photonic crystal, transfer printing, three dimensional
Here we investigate whether or not it is possible to create three dimensional photonic nanostructures using “transfer printing”, a simple method to freely stack microstructures by kinetic control of adhesion to an elastomeric stamp. The three dimensional photonic nanostructures are geometrically decomposed into two dimensional planer structures and then stacked to reconstruct the original nanostructure. Transfer printing allows easy junctions of heterogeneous materials, such as magneto-optic material or metals. Here we fabricate a woodpile type three dimensional photonic crystal, as an example.
