Keywords:polymer solar cell, bimolecular recombination, fill factor

Bimolecular charge recombination is a major loss process in polymer solar cells. In this work, we performed transient photovoltage (TPV) and transient photocurrent (TPC) measurements in polymer solar cells which exhibit different fill factors and evaluated charge carrier lifetime and charge carrier density. Experimental J–V curves were well reproduced by using these recombination parameters. Therefore, it was suggested that reduced bimolecular recombination is necessary to enhance power conversion efficiency further.
