[6a-A502-1] Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in Cu/Ni epitaxial layer grown on BaTiO3 thin films with in-plane ferroelectric polarization

In this work, BaTiO3 is epitaxially grown on MgAl2O4 substrate with BaNb0.2Ti0.8O3 electrode by PDL method in order to achieve electric control of magnetic anisotropy in magnetic films with perpendicular anisotropy. In-plane polarization is observed in BTO by PFM measurement and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is observed in Cu/Ni multilayer by VSM measurement. These results demonstrate the prerequisite for the device for electric-field control of PM with a very low electric voltage.
