[6a-C11-1] Maze Exploration using Two-dimensional Optical Bistable Device

In an optical bistable device with spatial expanse, wavefront between two stable-state regions can propagate. We are investigating this wavefront propagation to achieve complex dynamics and apply natural computing including maze exploration. In this presentation, we report simulations and experimental approach to maze exploration by opto-thermal two-dimensional optical bistable devices utilizing materials with temperature-responsive optical transmission.
