Semiconductor Quantum dots (QDs) have been used for optical material in solar cells, light sources, monitor screens and many other applications. QDs provide bright emissions, and the emission colors are tunable by the size, shape and chemical component. In general, different chemical synthesis is necessary to tune the emission colors of QDs. However, it is not easy to adjust the colors by the synthetic procedure. Here, we present the much simpler and easier technique to tune the emission colors of QDs monolayer film by using thermal treatment.
