Optical wireless power transmission is expected to be smaller, higher-power, and longer distance transmission, comparing with conventional wireless power transmission.
We have reported that GaAs solar cell showed the highest conversion efficiency compared to other compound semiconductor materials such as InGaP, InGaAsP and InGaAs.
In this study, we measured conversion efficiencies of GaAs solar cell by varying a laser wavelength from 809nm to 850nm. As a result, it is found that 830nm is the optimum laser wavelength to get a higher efficiency.
