[6a-C14-9] Feedback power dependence of the self light mixing in semiconductor lasers

Self-light mixing of the semiconductor lasers uses light mixing within the resonator between lasing light and feedback light modulated externally. This method drastically simplifies optical measurement systems using interferometer for example the Doppler velocity measurement. However, in self-mixing, the optical feedback direct to the resonator also changes the lasing frequency and output power of the lasers and consequently causes complicated behaviors of the optical systems. In this research, we analyze the signal obtained by the self-mixing and examine the influence of optical feedback intensity for the laser oscillation.
