In this study, we characterized the magnetization relaxation characteristics of a rare earth-based high temperature superconducting (RE - 123) tape under energizing current application environment. Although the wire material is expected to be applied to a high magnetic field magnet, its tape shape has a large influence of magnetization and has a big problem in the stability of the magnetic field at the time of application. In order to elucidate the detailed electromagnetic phenomena of them, the magnetization relaxation characteristics of RE - 123 tape were evaluated by magnetic microscopic method with spatial resolution, not a general macro magnetic moment evaluation method.
