[6a-S41-6] Feasibility study of X-ray thermography using phase-contrast X-ray imaging

We have been developing a novel thermography using phase-contrast X-ray imaging (PXI). The sensitivity of PXI for electron density is about 1000 times higher than that of conventional imaging, and therefore thermal propagations can be detected by changes of electron density. The obtained images successfully showed that the temperature of the water around the heater was increased gradually, and the heat propagated to the upper region of the water.
