To aim at separating and recovering heavy metals in industrial waste liquid, N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPA) having temperature sensitivity in the main chain introduced to prepare a bipolar NIPA gel aiming at simultaneous adsorption of positive and negative ions and selective desorption. Next, we investigated the adsorption / desorption behavior when changing the pH of the solution at the time of adsorption and desorption of the gel. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the adsorption amount is maximized at pH 4 to 5, and desorption of Cr (VI) hardly occurs at pH 3 or higher.
