Keywords:polymer gels, amidoxime group

In this research, we aim to absorb selectively uranium and vanadium dissolved in seawater using amidoxime group and to supply uranium and vanadium stably in Japan. In order to solve the problem of weakness of gel using acrylamide as a base material, we made gels using methacrylamide as a base material were prototyped and compared the state of swelling. As a result, polymethacrylamide gel retained elasticity by suppressing swelling compared to polyacrylamide gel. In the future, we will investigate the adsorption characteristics of each gels.
