[6p-C16-1] Creation of 2D-Atomically-Thin-Layered Heterojunctions and their Applications to Novel Terahertz Photonic Devices

Taiichi Otsuji1 (1.Tohoku Univ.)

Keywords:graphene, terahertz wave, vad der Waals two-dimensional atomically thin film

This research is aimed to create the continuous heteroepitaxial growth technology for the two-dimensional van der Waals heterojunction systems, and to devise highly efficient various THz functional devices by exploiting unprecedented physical phenomena exhibited among their complex quantum systems governed by electrons, photons, plasmons, as well as phonons. In this presentation current research status and future trends in this research field will be reviewed and discussed.
