△ [6p-C16-6] Improvement of transparence of Schottky-type solar cells fabricated with few-layered transition metal dichalcogenides
Keywords:transition metal dichalcogenides
Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD), an atomically thin layered material with semiconducting properties, is one of the optimum materials for high performance flexible transparent solar cells. Until now, we have developed a Schottky type solar cell using few-layered TMD, obtaining the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 0.7% in the world with similar thickness of TMD. In this work, we aimed to develop a more practical transparent flexible solar cell. Schottky-type solar cell was formed on a transparent and flexible PEN substrate with ITO as an electrode material. Clear short circuit current and open circuit voltage can be observed under the irradiation of solar simulator. Since our fabrication process can be scalable due to the simple Schottky type configuration, the few-layered TMD-based Schottky type solar cell should be a promising candidate for the future industrial application of transparent and semi-transparent solar cell.
