[6p-PA4-1] Observation of spontaneous depolarized GAWBS in multi-core fibers and clarification of its characterization

Spontaneous depolarized guided-acoustic wave Brillouin scattering (GAWBS) was observed in an uncoated multi-core fiber (MCF). The GAWBS spectrum in the center core was identical to that of standard silica single-mode fibers. Meanwhile, the GAWBS spectrum in a side core was observed in the low-frequency region, and was different from that of stimulated depolarized GAWBS. There was no interaction between center core and side core when the CW light injected into center core and side core simultaneously.
