[6p-S21-4] Technology to Accelerate Particles - Superconducting RF Accelerator
Keywords:Collider experiment, Electron Accelerator, Superconducting RF Accelerator
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is the next-generation Electron-Positron Acceratating Collider which is studied internationally. The colliding energy of the ILC is covering the range of 250 - 500 GeV (1 TeV in the extended phase) and the length of the main linac is reaching to 31 km (50 km in the extended phase). In the ILC, "Superconducting Accelerator Technology" in which electrons and positrons are accelerated in high energy efficiency, and "Nano Beam Technology" in which the electron- and positron-beams are focused extremely to increase the number of colliding events, are very important. In this presentation, the overview of the ILC accelerator technologies is given.
