In this study, we developed a technique of macromolecule introduction into plant cells using a multi-gas plasma jet (Plasma Concept Tokyo, PCT-DFPJ02). A tobacco leaf piece was treated with CO2 or N2 plasma and then contacted with protein solution. We indicated that the protein was introduced into the cells treated with both CO2 and N2 plasmas. The leaf piece was also treated with CO2 plasma and then contacted with DNA solution. Expectedly, the DNA was introduced into the cells.
