In this study, we developed a technique of macromolecule introduction into plant cells using a multi-gas plasma jet (Plasma Concept Tokyo, PCT-DFPJ02). A tobacco leaf piece was treated with CO₂ or N₂ plasma and then contacted with protein solution. We indicated that the protein was introduced into the cells treated with both CO₂ and N₂ plasmas. The leaf piece was also treated with CO₂ plasma and then contacted with DNA solution. Expectedly, the DNA was introduced into the cells.
