Keywords:twisted superconducting tape wire, magnetization, loss

We consider excitation/demagnetization of a MRI magnet and then focus on a twisted superconducting strip in a magnetic field with a constant sweep rate to obtain the analytic expression of magnetization and loss. It turned out that both magnetization and loss do not depend on the twist pitch and become small by a geometric factor 1/\pi compared with those in a flat tape owing to twisting. We also report the detail of our numerical analysis with the use of the sheet approximation in addition to the analytic result.
