Critical currents in REBa2Cu3Oy films are significantly suppressed at the grain boundaries. For the applications and the futher development of coated conductors, it is important to understand the critical current properties of grain boundaries under various conditions. We have, therefore, measured the critical current densities in SmBa2Cu3Oy films fabricated on bicrystals under various measurement temperatures and magnetic fields. The results show that the suppression at the grain boundaries varies depending on the mesurement condition.
