△ [6p-S42-3] Critical currents of grain boundaries in SmBa₂Cu₃O_y bicrystals under various measurement temperatures and magnetic fields

Critical currents in REBa₂Cu₃O_y films are significantly suppressed at the grain boundaries. For the applications and the futher development of coated conductors, it is important to understand the critical current properties of grain boundaries under various conditions. We have, therefore, measured the critical current densities in SmBa₂Cu₃O_y films fabricated on bicrystals under various measurement temperatures and magnetic fields. The results show that the suppression at the grain boundaries varies depending on the mesurement condition.
