▼ [6p-S44-20] Synthesis and Photocatalytic Performance of Nickel-Decorated TiO2 NFs
Keywords:TiO2, metal decorated, hydrogen production
In the past decades, titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a photocatalyst has attracted a considerable attention owing to its high stability, nontoxicity, wide availability, and low cost. TiO2 nanofibers (TiO2 NFs) with high specific surface area and excellent charge transport properties shows a high photocatalytic activity. We utilize Ni as co-catalyst and decorate Ni onto TiO2 through 3 different ways. In this study, we systematically study the correlation between the decoration process and the H2 production of our synthesized Ni-decorated TiO2 (Ni-TiO2). H:TiO2- 10 wt% Ni NFs H:TiO2-Ni NFs gives the highest hydrogen production performance due to the relatively rough surface of hydrogen titanate that compared with TiO2 NFs which is much more easier for metal to deposit on it. Therefore, it shows the higher photocatalytic performance than the other two types.
