Keywords:parametric amplification, infrared fs laser, energy scaling

By using a dual-chirped optical parametric amplification (DC-OPA) scheme, we successfully generate mid-infrared pulses at 3.3 um with pulse energy of 10 mJ and a transform-limited duration of 60 fs. Further energy-scaling to the TW-class is feasible.
