Keywords:Amplitude manipulation, Phase manipulation, Ultrashort pulses

We report a new optical technology which enables us to arbitrarily manipulate amplitudes (AM) and phases (PM) of a highly discrete broadband spectrum by simply placing several optical elements—a waveplate with a polarizer and a transparent dispersive plate—on the optical axis and adjusting their thicknesses.
