We herein propose the microwave (MW) irradiation applied to the annealing process of the organic-inorganic hybrid lead halide perovskite crystalline semiconductor films for converting the intermediate state of as-coated precursor films into perovskite poly-crystalline films. The resulted perovskite films irradiated by microwave exhibited significantly larger crystal domains than those annealed on a conventional hotplate (HP), even within a shorter process time. The films are applied to the perovskite solar cell and exhibited higher efficiency with films irradiated by microwave, the opto-electric properties and crystallinity are examined to discuss the origin of the higher performance of devices prepared under microwave irradiation.
