△ [7a-C19-8] Modification of Au(111) Shockley surface state induced by physisorption of n-alkanes: the dependence of molecular chain length and the effect of fluorination
Keywords:interface electric dipole layer, Shockley state, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy
In this study, we focused on the system of n-alkane monolayer on Au(111), which is an ideal physisorption system, and aimed at obtaining information about organic/metal interface from the modification of Au(111) Shockley state upon molecular adsorption.
In our talk, we discuss the modification of Au(111) Shockley state upon molecular adsorption observed by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Furthermore, we indicate detail information about the dependence of alkane molecules coverage, the dependence of chain length and the effect of fluorination. We discuss the interaction between organic molecules and metal surface based on the results.
