[7a-C22-7] The phonon scattering at the interface of Fe2VAl/Heavy Metal Superlattice

We tried to measure the boundary thermal resistance of epitaxial Fe2VAl/W multilayers to improve the thermoelectric properties by reduction of lattice thermal conductivity. The areal heat diffusion time obtained by the picosecond pulse-light thermoreflectance measurement was rapidly decrease below 10 nm in Fe2VAl thickness for the W/Fe2VAl/W three-layered films. This result suggested that there is the mechanism for phonon scattering at the interface depending on the Fe2VAl thickness below 10 nm.
