Nano Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy enables to obtain electrochemical response for a local area by forming a nanoscale cell between sample and probe (100 nm). We have evaluated Silicon-graphite (Si-C) composite electrode for lithium-ion battery: Si is attractive due to its large capacity. In the present study, for further improvement of coverage of binder, we examined a stability of electrolyte in the presence of cross-linked Poly(acrylic acid)(PAH). In particular, decompostion of electrolyte was judged with 100 points on the electrode surface. Compared to non-cross-linked binder, cross-linked PAH prominently prevent decomposition of organic electrolyte. This shows that nanoSECCM can be a effective to evaluate a characterization of binder of lithium-ion battery.
