[7a-PA5-3] FMCW laser radar system using two lasers with each different wavelength

Seiichi Kakuma1 (1.Hokkaido Univ.)

Keywords:FMCW laser radar, laser diode, distance measurement

The FMCW laser radar with two orthogonally-polarized lasers can detect the distance and displacement separately in real-time, however, the measurement is affected by polarization crosstalk between the two laser lights. By using two lasers with each different wavelength, the two beat signals can be separated by a spectroscopic element and thus the practicability of the FMCW system with two lasers is improved.
