A kind of elastic polymer, silicone polymers like a polydimethylsiloxane is used for many products exceptionally. Pressure-sensitive silicone adhesives are also used for many kinds of tapes or labels. In this study, we investigated the adhesion characteristics of a commercial product of silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to various substrates based on a method of 90 °-peel test. As a result, the adhesion characteristics are dependent on the materials of the substrates among metals, plastics, and silicone series. This find is useful for joining different kinds of materials.
