We report on the photoluminescence (PL) in Alq3 thin film with Ag nanotriangles (NTs) array fabricated by Nanosphere lithography method. Regularly arranged Ag nanotriangles (NTs) array was fabricated on the quartz substrate, using a nanosphere lithography (NSL) method. The 50 nm-thick Ag thin film was deposited by the thermal evaporation on the substrate with PSt beads array, and PSt layer was removed from the substrate by sonication. Subsequently, 60 nm-thick Alq3 thin film was evaporated on the Ag NTs/substrate. From the steady-state PL measurement, 2-fold PL enhancement was observed for Ag NTs/Alq3 thin film compared with bare Alq3 thin film at room temperature. According to the Time-resolved PL measurement, the PL lifetimes of Alq3 with and without Ag NTs were 6 ns and 21 ns, respectively. These behaviors were explained by the efficient coupling of LSP resonance of Ag nanotriangles array with the emission from Alq3.
