Keywords:superconductor

Potentials of RE-based superconductors (RE123, RE247, RE124) as for polycrystalline materials have been studied for development of magnetically grain aligned materials free from weak-link problems. Relationships among chemical composition, synthesis conditions, shape and size of grains and superconducting properties of sintered bulk samples of each phase are systematically studied. Discussions on possibilities and strategies for improvement of material properties of these superconductors will be made.
