[7a-S45-7] Effect of elements addition on the solid solubility of noble metal alloy nanoparticles

Yuki Yamazaki1, Shunichi Sato1 (1.IMRAM, Tohoku Univ.)

Keywords:femtosecond laser, nanoparticles synthesis, nonequilibrium process

By strongly concentrating femtosecond pulsed laser, very strong light field, up to 1014 W/cm2, is formed. We have succeeded in producing noble metal nanoparticles of gold, platinum, their complete solid solution alloy, and so on, by utilizing reducing power of the hydrated electrons and hydrogen radicals generated by forming this light field in water. In this study, we investigated the improvement of solid solubility by adding Pd and Pt to Au - Rh system where we haven’t achieved complete solid solubility.
