[7a-S45-8] Preparation of YVO₄:Eu nanoparticles by laser ablation in ethanol and their characterization

YVO₄:Eu nanoparticles were prepared by laser ablation in ethanol. Nd:YAG laser (Secondary Harmonic Generation/532 nm, 10 ns, 10 Hz) was used for preparation. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Selected Area Electron Diffraction (SAED) and Photluminescence spectrometer (PL) were used for characterization. Although ovoid-like nanoparticles were obtained by laser ablation in pure water, spherical nanoparticles were obtained by laser ablation in ethanol.
