[7p-PB7-23] Magneto-plasmonics on Perpendicular Magnetic CoPt Nanostructures
Keywords:magnetic material, magneto-optical, plasmon
The magneto-optical (MO) properties of perpendicular magnetic nanostructures consisting of CoPt layers and isolated fine grains of noble metal were investigated for chemical sensing applications. The CoPt nanostructures formed by surface agglomerations of Ag and Au indicated unusual MO polar Kerr loops at different wavelengths. The CoPt layers exhibited a polarization reversal on Kerr rotation, and the Kerr loop depended on the external environment. These MO behaviors are attributed to the localized surface plasmon resonance generated at the noble metal grains.
