Keywords:poly(catecholamine), surface potential, cell sensing

Catecholamines, which act as neurotransmitter, are known to self-polymerize into poly(catecholamines) by natural oxidation in the air and to form nano films on various material substrates with high adhesion property. By applying the unique properties of polycatecholamine, we investigated a pH responsive biosensor using poly(catecholamine) coated-electrode, and monitored the respiratory activity of the cell with cultivating on the electrode.
