In quest for more efficient holographic control of slow neutron beams we report on the first demonstration of volume holographic recording in nanoparticle-polymer composites (NPCs) dispersed with nanodiamonds. We employ NPC films with nanodiamonds that are prepared by the explosion of bulk diamonds possessing their coherent scattering length three times larger than that of SiO2 nanoparticles used for our previous NPCs to control slow neutron beams.
