[8p-A201-5] Shape controlled crystal growth of Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloys

Recently, the vibration power generator using Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloy is in the spotlight. This time, we tried high quality and near net shape crystal growth of Fe-Ga alloys using the μ-pulling down method. A plate shaped Fe-Ga alloys with a cross section of 1.5 x 5.0 mm size were successfully grown. The evaluations such as composition analysis, the growth direction measurement, and the magnetostriction measurement will be reported.
