[8p-S21-4] FDTD analysis of bumpy MIM structures that exhibit ultra-wideband light absorption

Metal-Insulator-Metal structures of which one metal film was randomly corrugated, which we call bumpy MIM structures, exhibit ultra wideband light absorption ranged from visible to infrared. However, the mechanism of this ultra wideband absorption has been yet clarified. In this paper we reveal the mechanism of this ultra wideband absorption, by analyzing their optical response by FDTD method.
