Spin transport in thermally evaporated pentacene films was achieved at room temperature (RT), by using the spin-pumping. Under a diffusive spin transport in pentacene films, the spin diffusion length in pentacene films was estimated to be ~42 nm at RT. By using the charge transport properties in pentacene films, the zero-field hole mobility and diffusion constant were evaluated. Using them, the spin current relaxation time in pentacene films was estimated to be =150 ns. This relaxation time is much larger than that in silicon, which means that pentacene films are promising as spintronics materials.
