[14p-211-12] Simulation study of the spectrum of ultrabroadband coherent infrared wave generate from
air plasma including dispersion in nonlinear crystals
Keywords:air plasma, time domain spectroscopy, coherent pulses
We simulated the spectrum of ultrabroadband coherent infrared pulses generated from air plasma excited by two-color femtosecond pulses using plasma current model. We synthesized excitation pulses taking the real wavelength distribution into account, not only with carrier waves single wavelength components, and examined the dispersion dependence caused by nonlinear crystals for second harmonic generation in detail. As a result, we found that the dispersion in nonlinear crystals caused significant degradation of generation efficiency compared with the case with ideally no dispersion. Also the generation efficiency deceased as the thickness of the crystal increased.
