[14p-302-1] Introduction of DFB resonator into light-emitting electrochemical cell
Keywords:organic light-emitting device, laser, optical resonators
Low threshold optical pumped lasing of 0.3 mJ/cm2 has been reported from polymer films with Distributed feedback(DFB) resonators. Accroading to the report, the threshold current density can be estimated as 20 A/cm2, which is an extremely low value. Thus, fabricating organic light-emitting devices with DFB resonators is very important for low threshold lasing device; however, it is not easy to incorporate DFB structure having ~100 nm of geometry into conventional organic light-emitting diodes. To address this difficulty, we use alternative organic light-emitting devices known as light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC). Since the characteristics of LECs are insensitive to electrode distance and work functions of electrodes, suitable device for incorporating DFB can be designed. In this work, DFB resonators were introduced to F8T2-based LECs and their optoelectronic characteristics were investigated.
