We report the synthesis, characterization, and solar cell application of new semiconducting polymers including anthrabisthiadiazole (ATz) as the new π-extended acceptor. Furthermore, we fabricated and characterized ATz polymer-based organic photovoltaic cells to evaluate its potential for high-performance solar cells and their structure-property relationship.
