Keywords:donor/acceptor interface, morphology, electronic structure

In this work, we investigated morphology and electronic structure of a model donor/acceptor interface for P3HT:PC61BM bulk-heterojunction organic photovoltaic cell: PC61BM/α-6T planar heterojunction. It was found that, upon crystallization of PC61BM spin-coated film by thermal annealing, growth mode of α-6T overlayer drastically changes due to the increase in surface energy. We will further demonstrate the energy level alignment of PC61BM/α-6T interface with focusing thickness-dependent orientation of α-6T.
