[14p-413-3] Assembly formation dynamics of nanoparticles based on interplay of optical trapping and light propagation/light scattering
Keywords:laser trapping, light propagation, Interface
We have recently found that light propagation and light scattering through optical trapping-formed assembly leads to expansion of the assembly much larger than the irradiation area. A colloidal assembly sticks out rows of linearly aligned particles like horns by propagating the trapping laser, and gold nanoparticles are dynamically extended outside of the irradiation area perpendicular to the light polarization due to dipole scattering. We believe that these assembling phenomena are due to the interplay of optical trapping and light propagation/light scattering. Under optical force fields, it may possible to self-organize the assembly which can efficiently propagate and scatter the trapping laser.
