As a photon generator for quantum information technology, photonic dot (PD) which is micro device combining quantum dots (QD) and microcavity is being studied. We have studied polymer / Si hybrid PD ever, but there were problems such as durability, hindrance of light propagation due to difference in refractive index. If all are made of Si, the above problems can be solved. In this study, we prototyped and evaluated all-Si PD with colloidal PbS QD embedded within PD itself, and demonstrated the possibility of application as a photon generator.
