[14p-P10-55] Manipulation of in-plane magnetic anisotropy in amorphous CoFeB films induced by structural phase transitions of BaTiO3
Keywords:Multiferroic, Magnetostrictive effect, Magnetic anisotropy
Magnetic anisotropy in the amorphous CoFeB films deposited on the BaTiO3 substrates were investigated, and the value of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy energy demonstrated the drastic change from 0.36×105 erg/cm3 to 7.4×105 erg/cm3, which can be attributed to the structural transition from the tetragonal to the orthorhombic phases of the BaTiO3. Because the order of the values agreed with those estimated from the lattice strain occurring in the BaTiO3 substrate, the induced magnetic anisotropy was originated from the magnetostrictive effect. The effect of Ta layer insertion at the BaTiO3 substrate/CoFeB interface as well as the domain structure in the BaTiO3 will be discussed at the conference.
