We have tried to form graphene-related organic films using pentacene source and have already reported that the pentacene molecules were decomposed by heated W mesh above 1300 ℃ in H2 atmosphere. In this study, to form the graphene-related organic films, the W mesh supported Ni (WNi mesh) was used as a catalyst to enhance the decomposition reaction of pentacene molecules. In the case of WNi mesh, the pentacene molecules were decomposed at 1200 ℃. It is found that the decompose temperature can be reduced by using the WNi mesh. The organic film prepared at 1200 ℃ had a absorption peak similar to graphene at 265 nm. It is considered that the WNi mesh is expected as a catalyst for the formation of the graphene-related organic films.
