[14p-P4-34] Thickness decrease = reduction? New insight into the structure of graphene oxide
Keywords:graphene oxide, graphene
Determining the structure of graphene oxide (GO) is important for the reduction and modification of GO. Lerf-Klinnowski model has been widely accepted in this field. Recent years, Rourke et al. proposed a new two-component model, consisting of a less-oxidized basal plane and oxidation debris (OD). However, discussion on the real structure of GO is still continuing. In this study, we treated GO by a KMnO4/H+ secondary oxidation and characterized the oxidized GO by both structural and elemental analysis, to show new findings in the real GO structure.
