[14p-P6-12] General model for the polarization dependence in saturable absorption of Cr4+:YAG

Polarization dependence of saturable absorption in Cr4+:YAG was investigated. We theoretically proposed its general analytical formula expressed in terms of the intensity and the polarization angle of the pump beam. We experimentally proved our model by means of the transmission of (110)-cut Cr4+:YAG with initial transmittance of 75% and 1-W Nd:YAG laser as a pump source.
