[14p-P6-14] Lasing Characteristics of Solar-pumped Laser Employing Index Matched Nd/Cr-codoped YAG Composite Rod

We proposed a composite structure rod that has the same refractive index of gain and non-gain regions. It can oscillate solar-pumped laser with fundamental mode. The slope efficiency of 25.3% was realized by excitation equal to the natural sunlight. In Nd/Cr co-doped material, we reallized laser oscillation by the excitation of the wavelength absorbed by only Cr3+ and estimated that energy transfer efficiency to Nd3+ was 71.5%.
